It all started...
with Rick banging on his mother's pots and pans. His mother noticed he had musical rhythm, so she purchased for him, the drum shown in the above picture.
As Rick got older, he learned the guitar and found the guitar to be his instrument of choice, upon hearing the band KISS in concert. After performing in several 'hair' bands, he joined a local band named Toyz. In 1992, he joined Clay Hunt's Pure Delite, and worked with the band for 15 years.
Rick has attended Peabody, Essex, and Towson State University, majoring in Jazz and Classical guitar. He is now a teacher for Music and Arts Center. He has very fortunately been able to see the products of his teaching. His former student, Billy Martin, signed a major contract with the global band, Good Charlotte. His former student, Dru DeCaro, currently plays guitar for Grammy-Nominated R & B singer, Miguel. Additionally, he has had many students who have gone on to become members of local bands, musical engineers, as well as a music teachers.
Rick has written and recorded numerous songs for local artists in rock, country and pop music. He feels blessed to be able to make a living doing his passion and what he truly loves- music.
